The first BGAN vehicular terminal to track satellite positions continuously, the Thrane & Thrane Explorer 727, has been type approved by Inmarsat.

Providing simultaneous voice and IP data coverage, the terminal offers email and internet access, via a secure VPN connection, at speeds of up to 432kbps over a shared channel.

Robust and portable
The Explorer 727's robust antenna is mounted on the roof and connects you to phone networks and the internet wherever you are in the world - regardless of adverse weather conditions or whether the vehicle is stationary or moving - thereby making it an ideal solution for military units and journalists on the move.
 
The terminal weighs just over 8kg, including antenna and transceiver, and is easily portable with a height of 42.5mm and a width of 247mm.
